Graduation Ceremony

We congratulate you on successfully defending your thesis! There are a few more steps you need to complete until the graduation ceremony:

Step 1: Fulfil your duties to the University

To receive a diploma you have to return all the books to the library and your study programme department, pay your debts to dorms and to the university (if you have any), and fulfil your duties to the International Relations office and Career Centre. You can see on your is.vu.lt whether you have fulfilled all your duties (Studies>Students settlement with the university). When the first 5 boxes are ticked, we will tick the administration box without any additional requests and you will have fulfilled all your duties to the University. Sometimes it takes a few days until all the information is updated in the system, so please be patient, there's no need to contact the Studies Department additionally.

Step 2: Signing in to the diploma registration journal

If graduates want to receive their diploma during the ceremony, they must sign in the diploma registration journal. Signing is available only when all duties to the university are fulfilled – when all boxes on your is.vu.lt are ticked.

You can sign the diploma registration journal if you have fulfilled all your duties to the University. All students will be informed individually about signing in to the diploma registration journal via their university e-mail and VU IS.

The signing in the diploma registration journal will take place in the Studies Department in the Faculty.

The times you can come in and sign in the diploma registration journal are as follows:

June 21 (Friday): 10 a.m.–1 p.m.; 2 p.m.–7 p.m.

June 25 (Tuesday): 9 a.m.–1 p.m.; 2 p.m.–7 p.m.
