If you take an academic leave or suspend your studies, you can pass your debts with a free listener's agreement.

Missing credits after the mobility period

Students who return to VU after their mobility with less than 30 credits, must compensate the missing credits. The compensation for this deficiency depends on the number of credits missing:

• If the lack is less than 20 credits, you can continue your studies at VU on your return, but you should register for more courses than the number of credits in your programme of study to make up for the lack of credits.

• If the lack is more than 20 credits, you must apply for a suspension of your studies upon your return. If you suspend your studies, you will need to sign a free listener's agreement and choose to study as many subjects as necessary to reduce the lack of credits to at least 20 credits. You can continue your studies after the suspension.
