Kas tai?
CSC Magistro ir Bakalauro darbų apdovanojimai yra konkursas, skirtas magistro ir bakalauro studijų baigiamųjų kursų studentams. Specifiniai reikalavimai darbų temoms nėra keliami. Šio konkurso tikslas – paskatinti geriausius studentus, atsižvelgiant į jų specialiąsias ir bendrasias kompetencijas. Konkurse gali dalyvauti šių specialybių studentai:
- Bakalauro studijų programos:
- Anglų filologija
- Prancūzų filologija
- Skandinavistikos studijos
- Vokiečių filologija
- Klasikinė filologija
- Lietuvių filologija ir užsienio (suomių) kalba
- Vokiečių filologija ir kita užsienio (švedų) kalba
- Magistro studijų programos:
- Anglistika
- Bendroji kalbotyra
- Skandinavistikos studijos
- Skandinavistika (ir Europos studijos)
- Taikomoji kalbotyra
Reikalavimai dalyviams:
1. Dalyviai iki 2014 m. gegužės 16 d. turi pateikti paraiškas el. paštu:
2. Paraiškos turi būti pateikiamos viename dokumente elektroniniu būdu, MS Word arba PDF formatu anglų kalba. Popierinės paraiškos nebus priimamos. Paraišką turi sudaryti šia eilės tvarka pateikti dokumentai:
2.1. Fakulteto, Instituto ar Departamento vadovo arba Studijų programos koordinatoriaus raštas, nurodantis šią informaciją:
2.1.1. Dalyvio vardas, pavardė;
2.1.2. Studijų programa.
2.2. Darbo santrauka (1000-1500 žodžių). Santrauka turi būti parašyta ne technine ir ne specialistams lengvai suprantama anglų kalba, apibūdinant darbo mokslinę reikšmę tiriamajai sričiai.
2.3. Katedros vadovo, darbo vadovo ar studijų programos vadovo rekomendacija, patvirtinanti išskirtinius dalyvio gebėjimus.
2.4. Dalyvio CV, parengta pagal šią formą: žiūrėti pridėtą dokumentą*. Pastebėjimas, studentai gali pateikti CV ir pagal savo parengtas formas.
2.5. Elektroninė darbo kopija. Galimos darbų kalbos: lietuvių, anglų, vokiečių, prancūzų, švedų, danų, norvegų arba suomių. Bus atrinkti trys bakalauro ir magistro pakopų studentų darbai.
3. CSC apdovanojimų komitetas išrinks 3 geriausias paraiškas pagal šiuos žemiau pateiktus kriterijus:
3.1. Originalumas (30 propcentų bendro svertinio koeficiento);
3.2. Darbo aktualumas, reikšmė, aprašyta ne technine kalba (30 procentų bendro svertinio koeficiento);
3.3. Darbo kokybė (20 procentų bendro svertinio koeficiento);
3.4. Pristatymo kokybė (20 procentų bendro svertinio koeficiento – bes vertinama baigiamųjų darbų gynimo metu).
4. CSC apdovanojimų komiteto nariai dalyvaus 3 atrinktų studentų baigiamųjų darbų gynimuose ir išrinks laimėtoją. Laimėtojai bus apdovanojami CSC prizais diplomų įteikimo ceremonijos metu.

CSC Nomination
Computer Science Corporation is a global leader of next-generation information technology (IT) in USA that provides IT services on a global scale and operates worldwide with its branch CSC Baltic, JSC in Lithuania. This year CSC Baltic has decided to announce CSC Master / Bachelor Thesis Nomination contest and is calling all Master / Bachelor graduate students to participate in it.
What is it?
CSC Master / Bachelor Thesis Nomination is a contest for Master and Bachelor degree graduate students, year 2013-2014. CSC does not require graduates to prepare their theses under specific topics. The purpose of this contest is to recognize distinguished scholarly achievement.
In order to participate in this contest, students have to be graduates of the following study programs:
- Bachelor degree study programs:
- English philology
- French philology
- Scandinavian studies
- German philology
- Classical philology
- Lithuanian philology and foreign (Finish) language
- German philology and another foreign (Swedish) language
- Master degree study programs:
- English studies
- General linguistics
- Scandinavian studies
- Scandinavian and European studies
- Applied linguistics
Participation process
1. Nominee has to submit his / her application before 16 May, 2014 via e-mail
2. Application consists of the following materials to be submitted electronically (in English) and combined into a single document, MS Word or PDF format (no hard copy submissions will be accepted), in the following order:
2.1. Cover letter from the Chair of Department / Faculty / Institute or Graduate Program Coordinator that includes the following information:
2.1.1. Nominee’s full name;
2.1.2. Discipline of studies.
2.2. Summary prepared by a student (1,000 – 1,500 words). Summary has to be written in a non-technical English language describing the research and its significance for a general academic audience of non-specialists.
2.3. Recommendation letter from the head of department or professor or a group leader confirming that the candidate chosen is one of the best in his / her class.
2.4. Student nominee’s CV to be prepared following the form attached*. Note, this is not a requirement to prepare CV according to this form. Students can provide their own either.
2.5. The electronic version of the thesis. Thesis can be written in Lithuanian, English, German, French, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian or Finnish languages.
3. Award committee of CSC representatives will select three best applications based on the following:
3.1. Originality (30 percent of overall rating coefficient).
3.2. Significance of the study as described in a non-technical language (30 percent of overall rating coefficient).
3.3. Overall quality (20 percent of overall rating coefficient).
3.4. Presentation of the thesis, presentation skills (20 percent of overall rating coefficient – will be evaluated during thesis defences).
4. CSC award committee will attend Master / Bachelor thesis defence and after evaluation will select a winner. Winner will be awarded with CSC prizes during University Graduation Ceremony.
